Around The Sound Music Therapy
At Around the Sound Music Therapy, our mission is to create a supportive and welcoming space where people of all backgrounds and abilities can use music to explore, heal, and grow. I believe in each person’s inherent worth, inner wisdom, and capacity for change, and I strive to make every session collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in your unique strengths and story. My practice is a place where clients can show up fully as themselves—including those navigating identity, belonging, or life transitions—and know they will be met with respect, curiosity, and care.
Based in Mill Creek, WA, I proudly serve the surrounding communities of Everett, Lynnwood, Mukilteo, Bothell, Snohomish, Monroe, Woodinville, Edmonds, and Mountlake Terrace. Whether in person or through community partnerships, my goal is to make meaningful, affirming, and accessible music therapy available to individuals and groups across our local area.
Located near Mill Creek Town Center, my practice is in a welcoming, easy-to-reach area. The nearby paths, cafés, shopping, gym, and community spaces can be a supportive part of your routine before or after sessions.
Jeremiah Nelson MTL, MT-BC
Hi, I’m Jeremiah, a board-certified and licensed music therapist and the founder of Around the Sound Music Therapy. As a neurodivergent clinician, I bring both personal understanding and professional training to the work I do. My lived experience helps me create a therapeutic space where clients feel seen and supported exactly as they are. Music therapy is a meaningful later-in-life career shift for me. Stepping into this work later in life has brought depth, perspective, and a strong sense of purpose to the way I show up for my clients.
I have experience in a wide range of settings, including with neurodivergent adults and children, hospice patients, young adults experiencing homelessness, and individuals in memory care. My approach is deeply client-centered, drawing from humanistic, mindfulness-based, CBT, and DBT perspectives to support each client’s goals. I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative, empowering, and grounded in what matters most to you. My goal is to meet you where you are and use music as a bridge to healing, communication, and meaningful change.
I’m grateful to do this work, and I look forward to connecting with you.
