What is Music Therapy?

Music therapy is a research-supported, therapeutic process where we use music intentionally to support emotional, social, physical, and communication needs. In our work together, music becomes a tool for expression, connection, and growth—whether through singing, instrument play, movement, lyric analysis, songwriting, or simply listening with intention. You don’t need any musical experience to benefit; we follow your comfort level and your goals. My role is to create a safe, supported space where music helps you explore, heal, and discover new avenues of growth. Every session is tailored to you, and we move at a pace that feels right for your journey.

Individual Music Therapy

Individual music therapy sessions offer a supportive, one-on-one space tailored to your goals, preferences, and pace. Whether you’re looking to build emotional regulation skills, explore self-expression, reduce stress, deepen connection to yourself, or work through specific challenges, sessions are designed to meet you exactly where you are.

Clients may choose 25-minute sessions or 50 minute sessions. Both options offer a grounding, collaborative space where music becomes a bridge toward growth, healing, and meaningful change.

Adaptive Music Lessons

Adaptive music lessons provide a supportive, flexible learning environment tailored to each student’s needs, strengths, and interests. These lessons make music accessible and enjoyable for learners of all ages and abilities—no experience needed. We focus on building confidence, musical understanding, coordination, self-expression, and a positive relationship with music, using visual supports, simplified techniques, sensory accommodations, or other adaptive strategies as needed.

Adaptive lessons are offered for all levels of guitar and ukulele, beginner piano, and all levels of music theory.
